Like a floating balloon wants to embrace the world, yet is brought down by all the forces of every single day is the way I describe my life. Living in a big city, I always stare at the sky and wonder if there are aliens. I have all these strange ideas in my head, but I guess strange doen't fit in the world I live in.
Being a teenager of the so-called 'new generation.' it's always important to have a certain amount of plan for everything. But I like things to go randomly. In that way you'll be able to find slight amusement in the ocean of boredom.
There are three types of person in the world. Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and I think I'm the latter one, those who wonder what did happen.
Boy, fifteen, student. Yes these are the words people see in me, but I think of myself as a lost fish, searching for something in the ocean, but not quite sure what it is.
Everybody seems to want a lot of things, so many that I am not sure if they can hold them. All I ever want is simple, I want peace, love, understanding and a chocolate bar as big as me. Funny how desire turns us all, it could bring us evil and goodness at the same time.
One day I'll find a place with nothing but peace, where all my imaginations come out and I can lay down in a grass field and stare at the sunset, watch the clouds make funny shapes as the hues of the sinking lightball colour the sky, but then I would soon realise being just me is not easy to do any more.
Hello! My name is Michael and I study in Fanling Lutheran Secondary School. I am fourteen years old. I like watching films and playing sports as they are relaxing and interesting. And I have six family members in my family, they are my father, my mother, my brother, my tow pretty cats and me. We are all caring and helpful.
My idol is Martin Luther King who was a great man. At this moment, when our politics and economy appear so sharply polarized, we need more than ever to take heed of his teachings. He calls on us to stand in the other person's shoes; to see through their eyes; to understand thier pain. If he were alive today, I believe he would remind us that we have a duty to fight against poverty, even when we are well off and to care about the children in decrepit school even when we are fine. If he were a living person, I think the world would be so beautiful. There must not be any violence and polarization in our daily lives. He would also tell us that we must have doubts and setbacks but if we don't give up, we must conquer our fear in the not too distant future.
My favourite book is 'Angel and Demon.' It is a really good book which tells us the importance of religion. Nowadays, people often just care about science. In their hearts, religion is lost. This book wants to make people stand in the right way. If we face hardships we endure and believe hope comes from God. Our hearts will be full.
I want to be a doctor when I grow up, since this profession has a huge wage. But it can also help plenty of people who need help.
Finally, I have a dream that one day, the world will have a blue sky, no descrimination, no violence, no pollution and no poverty. Poeple love one another, all of us have kind hearts, everyone can enjoy life and peace, this is a beautiful world. I hope this can be reached in the not too distant future.
My name is Dorothy. Some people say that my name is very beautiful and interesting. In the dictionary, Dorothy means "present given by God." I don't know why my father gave this name to me, maybe our family is Christian. In my way, I think that my name is very special. No one in my friendship is called Dorothy.
Regarding my appearance, I have small eyes, a nose, a mouth and ears. My five sense organs are correct, nothing is missing. And my friends think that my appearance is nothing out of the ordinary. Actually I agree with them, but my appearance is unique and made by God, so I am proud of this.
Some people admire that my schoolwork achievement is very good, and I am a genius. But I don't think so, in fact I am very hardworking in my studies. And I need to thank my mum who always reminds me to study hard. If I don't, I will not be able to study at university or find a good job.
Actually, I am very careless. In fact, I am a butterfingers. Do you know why I said this? I have lost my mobile phone twice. And I think that there is no nice guy in the world because no one gave back the mobile phone to me. Also, when I am doing mathematics homework, I always forget to add units to the answer. So although it can't be imagined by people, I am very careless as a matter of fact.
Is it very funny? This is real, this is me.
