"An Unforgettable Experience"

Everyone has their own unforgettable experience, someone  will consider it as their first time of doing something, or the others will remember it as something that let them actually learned a lesson.  For me, my unforgettable experience is not a happy one, it is even a little unlucky, that is my first time of being in hospital!

Study is the only thing in my eyes, which means I only attach great importance to my school matters and put other things aside.  That is why I don't pay much attention to my health, I study very hard till late night and don't do exercise regularly.  But God bless me that I have never suffered from any serious diseases, so I don't care much about it until last month.

It's a very quiet weekend, I was preparing for a very important debate competition, which was the final round already.  The hour hand of my clock pointed to eleven, I was still looking for the useful information of our supporting side.  Although I started to have a running nose that afternoon, I just took so-called 'influenza medicine' and didn't go to bed until midnight.  But when I woke up the next morning, I realised that something was wrong.  My heart was beating fast!  I checked my body temperature, 39.2 degrees, so I had no way but to go to the emergency room immediately.

After having a quick body check there, the doctor found that my pulse was over one hundred and eighty.  I was then sent to the treatment room, forced to wear an oxygen mask on my face and had an electrocardiogram, I was just like a fish on the chopping board, facing something that I had never faced or thought before.  Luckily, after having an intravenous treatment, my condition was much better.  But I also heard some bad news.  I would need to stay in hospital for four days.

Yes, four days!  I only got a cold and had to stay in the hospital for four days!  How many lessons could I miss in school in these days?  I was already in Form five, when I missed a lesson, it would take me a lot of time to get it back.  Also more importantly, the debate competition, there was only a week left, my teammates wouldn't have enough time to find a person to replace, and could I have enough time to prepare for the topic?  All of these had become a big question.  I was a little bit regretted, why didn't I listen to my grandma's advice to go to bed earlier and not to push myself too harsh?  Why didn't I care more about my health and do more exercise in my daily life?  To conclude, it was not the right time for me to be in hospital!

But thing was not too bad after all.  My grandpa would soon arrive and brought me some daily necessities which would help me a lot when I was in hospital.  When it was about lunchtime, my grandma came and asked me to try her special made soup.  My father finally appeared when the sun went down.  He stayed with me and helped me passed this long boring night.  I just felt so warm , even the weather outside was freezing, my heart was only filled with happiness and kindness!

Three days rushed, one more day was to come.  But I finally received some news from my school.  My teachers phoned to ask me whether I was feeling well or not, even my debate instructor told me not to worry about the competition, and just take a good rest.  My good friends also sent me some text messages to greet.  These made me so surprised.

On the fourth day, after signing out, I was finally discharged.  But I learnt a lot.  Yes, I finally understood.  Although we still lost the competition, I had experienced the love from my family in these few days.  The support from my friends and the care from my teachers too.  I also realised that health was the most important thing.  Without it, I couldn't do anything!  So I said to myself, I will live a healthy life in the future.  Not only for me, but also for my family, my friends and my teachers not to worry about me.  This is my unforgettable experience.

"An Unforgettable Experience"

I have been to many different places all around the world, from Thailand to Canada.  Under normal condition, I went on a trip with my family, but except one of my special trip, it is also the most unforgettable one that I have ever had.

When I was in primary three, there was once a chance for me to travel to Canada during the Chinese New Year holiday.  My cousin's grandparents are overseas Chinese who live in Vancouver, so my cousin's family goes to Canada to visit their relatives every Chinese New Year and summer holiday.  This time, they asked if I would like to have a trip to Vancouver with them.  As I was a little child, I loved to have fun and loved to explore, so I agreed their invitation and we started off our journey.

This was the first time I went on a trip without my parents, so it made me feel single-handed in the whole trip.  Before I left, I was quite delighted.  But after I arrived at the Vancouver International Airport, I was anxious for my mother's arrival since I felt extremely frustrated in the new environment without my mother.  Before we went to their home, we went to a Chinese restaurant as it was time for lunch.  After we sat down, I started to concentrate on the TV because of the sound of Cantonese given off from it.   The channel was TVB, and it was the news report.  When I realized some Hong Kong matters, I wanted to go home suddenly and started to cry.  At midnight that day, I woke up suddenly and started to cry again.  When I was crying, I only repeated that 'I want my mother.'  I saw that my uncle was sitting in front of his computer and working.  So I told him that I missed my mother and I wanted to call her.  My uncle gave me the phone and told me to do it myself.  After I dailled the number, I cried louder than before as my uncle played me a trick.  How could I know how to make a long distance call as a primary three student who had never left her mother and travelled to a remote place.  This time, my crying woke up my aunt and cousin and they told my uncle to help me to call my mother and stopped playing tricks on me.  After the phone was connected, I only cried and said 'I missed you' to my mother.  My mother was first shocked by the call and my sadness, then she talked to me until I fell asleep again.  This event repeated every night until I was back to Hong Kong and saw my mother again.

Because of this event, my relatives are still laughing at me today.

"An Unforgettable Experience"

There is an unforgettable memory in my mind, which can never vanish.  It was a sunny day two days ago.  The sun shone brightly.  I was very delighted because I could go to Hong Kong Disneyland with my two best friends.  This was the second time for me to have fun there.

I packed my bag and then met my friends at the MTR station.  After that, we got on the bus and arrived at the main gate.  We first walked along the Main Street, U.S.A., which was the first place behind the entrance of the park.   There were a variety of shops at both sides.  I bought a cup with Mickey Mouse on the surface.  Then, we went to the Adventureland.   We rode on a boat and travelled around Tarzan's house.  I felt that it would be novel to live in it with my family.  I also imagined that I was from a primitive society and enjoyed the scenery very much.

In the afternoon, we were exhausted that we ate our lunch in a fast food shop.  However, the price of food was unreasonably expensive.  I was charged fifty more dollars for a combo meal with a drink, fries and a hamburger.  After having a tasty lunch, we travelled to the Fantasyland.  There was a number of costumed Disney characters that were friendly and they could have photos taken with us.  We played many interesting mechanical games there too.

In the evening, we went to Tomorrowland.  This was the place which expressed me most.  I played the roller coaster twice since it was thrilling.  I remembered that I played a game of car driving, which was quite difficult for me.  However, I was proud of myself when I was driving the car.  We played a lot of games there and waited for the spectacular firework to spark.  We found an open space in front of the sleeping Beauty Castle and watched the firework.  I felt happy to be with my two friends.

It is my unforgettable experience as one of my friends has gone to England to pursue her studies.
