"An Unforgettable Experience"

As far as I can recall, it felt like nothing when I was knocked out.  It was quick and painless.  It just all happened so fast.

It was a stormy night.  Everone was eagar to get home to be with their family, including me.  It was the night before Christmas Eve.  There's traffic jam almost in very part of the country.  Tons of people were stuck on th road at the train station, airport and so on.  The bad weather didn't help a bit.  It seemed like the sky was not happy with the situation as well.

In order to clear the train station and to comfort all those crowded people, they were forced to run the train more frequently.  That's where the nightmare began.  I got on one of them.  Thinking of my family, I could see them in just a couple of hours, what a pleasant feeling that was.  Suddenly we were told to fasten our seat belts and all those train attendants look horrified.  We were told to keep calm, but instead everyone panicked including them.  Due to my instinct, I stuck my head out of the window and took a look.  There was a train in front of us.  It was just a few hundred yards apart.  It appeared it's still holding and our train didn' t show any sign of reducing the speed.  There wasn't much time left.  I stood up, alerted the other passengers about the train, then I looked for any signs of escape.  There wasn't any.  I freaked out.  I felt I was going to puke.  My mind was blank.  Then there it was.  Tons of people were screaming.  It felt like that's the end of the world.  In the neck of time, I saw a window and I ran toward it.   I leapt out of the window.  It was like flying for the first few seconds.  Afterward it was just darkness.

I woke up at the hospital.  I had been in a coma for a few days.  I asked the nurse to check out what had happened.  After being investigated by the police, it seemed that the heavy rain had damaged some of the electrical circuit on the train causing this tragic incident.  Then a doctor came and asked me how I felt and how I was doing and he told me how lucky I was that I had only suffered from some bruises and cuts.  Although I fainted for a few days because of the collision on my head.  What a lucky guy I was, I think. I would never forget this incident.  If I live for another day, I'll tell my story to everyone how lucky I was.

"An Unforgettable Experience"

There are many interesting and memorable moments in my life.  However there is an  unforgettable experience that always stays in my mind.  I can still recall my first plane flight when I was eight then.  The contrast of excitment and fear always linger in my mind.  It has been eight years from now and it is still fresh in my mind.

It all dated back to the year 2003, when my dad was planning a family trip to Shanghai.  I was told that we would be taking a flight there.  It was going to be my first time and I was instantly overwhelmed by the excitement.  I had came across about aeroplanes on television and books but was really eager  to board one of these man-made giant myself.

The big day had come!   I remembered the airport as a splendid architecture with crystal-clear window panel on the roof.  My dad checked in for my family and we had lunch.  After lunch, we sat at the departure lounge at the immigration counter and the security check-point.  Next to the departure hall was the big massive plane.  I could feel its engine roaring against the vibrating window pane.  I kept staring at the plane in amazement.  Soon, it was time for boarding.  There was a small corridor connected to the plane.  I stepped into the plane with a thousand thrill in my heart.  In the plane, it felt like a huge bus with small windows.  The flight attendants led us to our seats.  Other passengers got onboard too and soon it was time to take off.

It took off.  The plane slowly accelerated on the runway.  I watched as the world passed behind me.  In a split second, there was a slight tilt and the plane departed from the ground.  I was officially flying!  I peeped out from the window and I could see the world below me.  It was beautiful!  The plane continued to fly higher until it was above the cloud.

All in a sudden, there was a strong turbulence.  The plane shook violently.  My heart dropped and the fear of falling from the sky drew my attention.  I grabbed my mum's hand tightly and let out a little shriek.  To think of it again, It was the silliest thing I had ever done in my life.  I could feel that everyone in the plane looked at me.  It was very embarrassing.

Now, I still think of my first flight.  every time when there was an aeroplane-related topic.  It was a hilarious yet frightening and unforgettable experience for me.  It is like a video that is recorded in my mind.  It is simply unforgettable experience.

"An Unforgettable Experience"

My mom used to say that I was born to swim.  But the truth is that I didn't know how to swim last year.  Mom always said that I could swim in the bathtub when I was only two months old.  I was surprised at the amazing fact.  If this was true, then why was I afraid of water?  I went swimming every summer, but I didn't make any improvement.  How I wished I had learnt to swim!

One hot summer afternoon, my father and I went to the swimming pool to swim.  While my father was changing his clothes, I was roaming along the edges of the pool. Suddenly I heard a voice, "Look out!" and then came a big noise and beautiful splashes.  Just when I was admiring the swimmer's skils, I slipped into the pool!  I was so afraid that I shouted at once.  But the water kept coming towards me and I drank a lot of it.  I was struggling very hard to keep my head above the water.

A minute was like a hundred years to me.  To my surprise, I was able to keep my style.  Just then, my father saw me. He said, "Calm down, just wave your arms and legs like this.  Right!"  And I got it!  I finally learnt to swim!  You can't imagine how happy I was.

From this unforgettable experience I learnt one's power is unlimited.  To calm down helps you to think clearly and make the best decision for you.  That's what I have learnt from the experience.
