Since we started going to school, teachers have become very important roles in our lives. We gain knowledge from them, got encouraged by them, even our disposition is shaped by them.
My favourite teacher is Mr. Yeung. When I was a Form one student, I wondered why there was such a strange person in our school. He looked like Albert Einstein with loose shirt and torn jeans! However, when I started to attend his art lessons, the way he talked and the way he thought totally changed my impression on him. In his lessons, drawing skills are minor, the most important things for him is how to develop our thoughts and help us build a proper attitude towards life.
I used to be very passive. I was not so active and interested in any activities. Also, I was afraid to make new friends and I did not get hold on to opportunities around me. However, after Mr. Yeung had taken me to some lectures, I began to consider a proper attitude to face my school life. I started to find out I must lead my school life in a more meaningful way. Now, I have become more active because I know if I do not treasure my time spent in school, I will end up my school life with regret.
Besides this, Mr Yeung also broadens my horizons. Since I became more active, I started to be more interested in the whole world. I know Mr Yeung has really rich and special experience about traveling around. Therefore, I always ask him about the feelings and special culture of other countries which he visited. He is also willing to share his experience of traveling abroad, films he watched with us. His stories always remind me, life is too short to live, we must treasure every day and every second, so we can enjoy it and adopt a meaningful life.
It is a gift to me to meet Mr Yeung. He really affects my character and my lifestyle. You lead me to a brand new world, a brand new philosophy of life. Mr Yeung, thank you for your guidance.
My favourite teacher is the one who is always patient. He taught me and had been my class teacher for two years. He is really a good teacher. Although he is not my class teacher and is not teaching me any more, he is still teaching me mathematics in leisure time and helps me solve daily problems.
There are two large protruding eyes, a beautiful nose and a featureless mouth on his face. He wears a pair of glasses and it seems that he is professional. He always wears a dressed shirt without a tie. He always wears sporty clothes on our long run days. But he did not run with me. He always breaks a lot of jests, but are not funny. I talked about him to my classmates. Do you know who he is?
You may get the right answer. My favourite teacher is the one who has taught me mathematics since 2007. There are a lot of precious memories between Mr Terry Wong and I.
Last year, I participated a competition which was about mathematics. Almost every Friday after school, we needed to stay and did plenty of exercise for training. He taught us how to do it every day. No matter how sleepy we were, he did not reprove or punish us because he is an understanding and thoughtful teacher.
One evening, we did exercise very late. The sky was dark and gloomy, I could not see anything. Fortunately, my favourite teacher Mr Wong drove me home by his car because we both live in Yuen Long.
There had been a lot of wonderful memories between he and me, I cannot tell you one by one. Once you get to know him, you will know how wonderful he is.
He is the best and favourite teacher in my life. In fact, I really hope that he will be my class or maths teacher again.
“Mr Wong, thank you for your teaching. Thank you!”
My favourite teacher is Mr Terry Wong, who had been our class teacher from Form one to Form three. As we know, a teacher is the most important person in students’ lives. They tell us to behave, teach us knowledge and how to get well with others in society. But what the most important thing is that they can help us to handle difficulties and face challenges when we lose our ways. I can say Mr Wong is the best and kindest teacher I have ever seen.
Mr Wong is not special enough to leave a deep impression on me when I first met him. He is a man of average height always wearing a white or gray shirt. You will not find him easily in a crowd of people. But when you make friends with him, you will find out how kind he is.
Mr Wong is a very clever person. When he was our maths teacher, his exam papers were always difficult for us. As a result, lots of us failed. What annoyed us most was that he was always happy when we got low marks. Even for a good student like me in his class, I still could not get high marks from him! But the students in his class still loved him very much because he was willing to teach us whanever the questions were easy or hard. He could always help us understand the hardest maths questions. So that was why our class always came first in the form even today.
Mr Wong helped us a lot because I came to Hong Kong when I was in Form one. It was quite hard for me to catch up with the students in Hong Kong. I still remembered I did not understand the maths questions in English, I only got 38% in the first maths quiz. It was a shame to me. I had never got such a low mark before! But Mr wong was kind to help me understand the English words in maths. He always told me to feel free to ask him when I had any questions. With his help, my math results became much better. Both of us are very happy about the results today.
Mr Wong also helped me to become a kind person. When I was in Form one, I was quite rude. I always talked very loudly and I did not make friends with others. Mr Wong told me the social skills were very important in our lives. He helped me to change my bad habit, telling me to speak quietly and kindly. He also warned me when I did thing wrong. I have changed a lot since then. Now I have a lot of friends in school. Without Mr Wong, I do not know what I am today.
So he is my favourite teacher, a very kind and simple person he is. He may play tricks on you sometimes, but he is the kindest person I have ever seen.
