My favourite teacher

Teachers, what a great name.  They are just like candles shinning light on students but they may burn themselves out.  Teachers are very important to us.  If the student is like a sheet of white paper, then teachers are crayons.  They can draw a lot of beautiful pictures on our hearts.  If we are flowers, teachers are gardeners, helping us to grow.  If we are fish, teachers are like sea water, providing us a place to swim freely.

There are a lot of good teachers in our school.  The maths teacher is clever and careful.  The science teacher is witty and logical.  The P.E. teacher is humorous and strong.  We all love them very much.  But my favourite teacher is Mr Sze.

Mr Sze is our English teacher.  He is very young.  He is just twenty-four years old, but he can speak English very well and I think the way he teaches English is good.

In his lessons, we can get a lot of fun.  He is always like our friend.  He plays games, sings songs, puts on a show with us together.  We can always learn a lot from him.

After class, he is just like our elder brother.  He looks after us carefully.  Whenever there is something in our mind, we always run to tell him at the first time.  Because he trusts us, we would like to open our hearts.  He is a good listener, listening to one another’s feelings of classmates.

Mr Sze, you are my favourite teacher, you are my best friend.

Second Prize, Lam Yee Tsang, 3B

My favourite teacher

My favourite teacher taught Chinese Language which was her main teaching subject.  She also taught us music and maths.  She did not mind talking about another teachers or students with us.  She was so close with us when we were studying.  She was my teacher – she taught me when I was studying in primary school.  I really loved her to teach me.

She has long and brown hair, big eyes and quite tall.  I am 167 cm but my favourite teacher is about 5 cm taller than me.  She was so thin because she was a vegetarian.  We went out with her to have meals, I had never seen her eat any meats.  In my class, some students were talking all the time, she kept a close watch on them.  So they kept quiet immediately.  When she was angry, she became serious to us.

The first time I met her when I was a Primary three student.  She taught me maths.  I really enjoyed her lessons.  She explained maths formulas to us very clearly.  She taught me music when I was Primary four.  She loved playing the piano and recorder.  I was learning recorder from her at the same year.  In Primary five and six, she taught me Chinese Language and became our class teacher and that was why we were so closed.  She did not just teach us book knowledge but also a lot of interesting things.  I loved her teaching methods.  If I become a teacher, I will ask her how to be a fantastic teacher just like her.

In my primary school life, I enjoyed her lessons most because I had my favourite teacher to teach me and chat with us.  Miss Chiu, I really love you and am thankful for your teaching.  You are always in my heart!

My favourite teacher

I came to this school about two years ago and this was when everything began.  When I first stepped into the classroom, everything was just so unfamiliar to me, I was so scared, so I helped myself to find a seat on the sides.  My classmates were chatting happily even though they first met one another.  But I got more nervous as time went by.  A while later, the classroom door was pushed open, and the teacher stepped in.  She was not as attractive as some students may hope and she was also not as scary as some may think.  This made me calm down a lot because I know I have a friendly teacher now.

She was my science teacher at that time.  The classes were interesting and the teacher was very kind to us too.  Everything was fine, until my classmates started to disturb the lessons.  During one of our lessons, we got very excited on the topic and our class was talking on and on.  Our teacher told us to be quiet many times, but the whole class just kept on talking.  I was like watching a bomb, not knowing when it would explode.  I was shaking and sweating, it was very terrifying when you have to stay in a place like this.

However, when the teacher spoke, she did not yell at us.  She spoke in a gentle but dangerous voice.  “I have place in my detention list.”  As a result, the whole class froze and did not say a word.  I was amazed by how she handled our class and that was the time I started to admire her, she is my favourite teacher Miss Lai.
