Of all the festivals, the most wonderful one is Christmas! Christmas is a joyous time for celebrating the birth of Christ, no matter what you believe.
Christmas is the time when all families get together to have big and delicious dinner, to exchange all the exciting gifts and it is the time you get the most of hugs and kisses.
Preparing for Christmas is already an exciting event, because you have a lot of planning to do. Like you have to think of appropriate persons. Shopping itself is already very exciting, you get to pick the things that you do not really want for yourself, but then it might be useful or suitable for somebody else. Isn't that amazing?
Then you get to decorate the house. We normally put a Christmas tree in the living room. We hang a lot glass balls of different sizes, big, medium and small, and all in different colours. Then we put chains of Christmas lights around the whole tree, so that when it is lit up, it is really beautiful. Then we put all the presents underneath it and wait for the Boxing Day.
Christmas is also the time when you hear a lot of the beautifully singing Christmas cards. These cards are always joyful, you can hear them for over a hundred times and still you can want to hear more.
I think Christmas is the best of the festivals, and it is the time that I enjoy most. I hope that human being on earth can have a joyful Christmas as I do and many more to come.
I think the most wonderful festival is Christmas. Although the temperature is freezing, when we have Christmas meal together with our families, it is very warm and never feel cold again.
I have an elder brother, he is studying in a university in Perth, Australia. In 2007, he came back to Hong Kong to spend Christmas holiday with us. But last year, he could not come back because the air ticket was too expensive.
Every year, our family hold a Christmas party. All our family members go to our flat. Everyone cooks some delicacies to share. My favourite food is my uncle's dish, lambchop with mint sauce. The meat is soft and juicy. Adult chat to each other and I play computer game with my brother and other relatives. We all have a wonderful time.
But the Christmas party last year, I just felt missing something, that was my brother. I hope he can come back to Hong Kong this Christmas!

Chinese New Year is the most important festival in China, it started many years ago. According to the legend, there was a monster, people wore red clothes and set off firecrackers to drive it away. Now, people still using this way to celebrate this festival.
At New Year's Eve, people count down together toward the New Year. Step into Chinese New Year, people plan to have a lot of activities to celebrate it. Children look forward to this festival for a long time because they can get packet money! But first, they should say something lucky to their elder members, so they can get some money from them.
Family may group together and have dinner, it can make the relationship between the family members better.
Walking down the street, you can see many people wearing beautiful clothes in sharp colours. And there are many decorations in shops. Everyone is happy to spend the time at this moment.
For my opinion, Chinese New Year is my favourite festival because I can spend time with my family. It is a good opportunity to join together and celebrate a great festival like this...and also I can get plenty of packet money!
